This course is intended for those who need to prepare, deliver or manage well structured, documented appraisal programmes.

Objectives:

The course explores the tools that can be used in preparing for and structuring appraisals, including how to agree, set and monitor clear, measurable objectives. You will learn how to recognise and address performance problems and offer positive and negative feedback with supporting evidence. By exploring the use of competencies you will be able to plan and support ongoing staff development.
